1. How is a pair of That Couture shoes made?

Our shoes are made on an order by order basis, with each pair individually crafted by shoemakers in the production workshop. This method allows us to fill each order as the client designs it - from shape, to heel height to color and size.

2. What are the soles of That Couture shoes made from?

All our shoes have man-made, non-slip soles using synthetic fibers. However, to prolong the life of your shoe, we strongly recommend taking your shoes to the local shoemaker to have a rubber sole fitted.

3. What type of leather do you use?

Our leathers are predominantly cow/calf leathers. We use natural animal leather to ensure quality and durability. These leather hides are treated, colored and then used in the production of our custom made shoes.

4. What type of swatches do you offer?

That Couture offers more than 30 different colors, leathers and fabrics. We offer natural leather, patent fabric and synthetic materials. Our swatch selection ranges from the current trends to the timeless classics. We also provide a satin selection for bridal shoes. That Couture can source a desired color/texture/leather for a client if necessary and in most cases, we can accommodate a close match.

5. How do I care for my That Couture shoes?

To maintain the life of your That Couture shoes we recommend you follow these 5 steps :

1. Keep your shoes dry and clean in your shoe bag.

2. Consider adding a rubber sole to the bottom of your shoes for extra durability.

3. Regularly spray shoes with a leather protector e.g.Scotchgard.

4. Use leather cleaning products to maintain the look and life of your leather shoes.

5. Use shoe trees to maintain the shape of your shoes.

6. How do I place an order?

Just follow the six simple steps to placing a That Couture order:

1. Select your shoe.

2. Select your leather/fabric for your shoe.

3. Select your size and heel height (if applicable).

4. Complete the above two steps for each pair of shoes you would like to purchase.

5. Once you have finished shopping, check your order in Shopping Bag.

6. Complete your order by paying for your purchase through PayPal, using the links provided.

An email will be sent to you within 24 hours confirming your order.

7. How long will it take from placing my order to receiving my shoes?

Our turn over time is 4 weeks from the first Friday in which your order is placed. For example, if you place your order on Thursday March 1st, your order will be processed on Friday March 2nd. Thus expect your order by March 30th. During this 4 week time frame, your shoes will be custom made and posted to you through Speed Post.

8. What form of postal service is offered?

We only offer Speed Post (a form of international express post), as it is an efficient and reliable service that usually arrives within 72 hours of being sent. This delivery option guarantees the safe and timely arrival of our customers' orders.

9. Where do you ship to?

We are a global online business and ship to all parts of the world. This includes home addresses and postal boxes.

10. Can I combine postage for more than one item?

Absolutely, we are happy to combine orders and hold back postage until all orders are manufactured.

11. How do I gauge my size?

All our shoes are manufactured according to International European Sizing Standards. Please observe the table below of International European shoe sizing, USA size and measurements:

To ensure a perfect fit of your shoe, when you submit an order you may consider providng the measurements below. Please email us the measurements for (a) the widest part of your foot and (b) the length of your foot from your large toe to heel. Include in the email your name, details of your order and contact information.

12. What happens if I am not pleased with my purchase?

Customer returns are accepted within 2 weeks of receiving the item. At That Couture we offer our customers a 75% refund on their purchase in the event of a return. As each order is especially made for that customer, this fee is to assist with the refund of an item which is made futile upon return.

We only accept items which haven not been worn or damaged. Please ensure all the relevant tags and packaging is included with your return.

13. How do I proceed with a refund?

Just complete the following simple steps to arrange a refund:

1. Send an email to info@thatcouture.com informing them of your desire to proceed with a refund.

2. Await for an email reply to confirm the refund and return details.

3. Post the shoes back, airmail and insured. Insurance is important to protect both parties in the event of loss or damage, which are occurrences beyond the control of the customer and That Couture. Please ensure all the relevant tags and packaging is included with your return.

4. When the item is received, customer service will send you an email confirming shoe return and refund though PayPal.

14. How do I proceed with an exchange?

Customer returns are accepted within 2 weeks of receiving the item. For a customer exchange, a 15% exchange fee is required as the shoes are made to order per customer. Customers can pay for the exchange through PayPal.

We only accept items which haven not been worn or damaged. Please ensure all the relevant tags and packaging is included with your return. Customers are free to choose a completely different shoe or a similar one and are by no means restricted to size or fabric/leather choice in regards to their original purchase.

Follow the seven simple steps for an exchange:

1. Send an email to info@thatcouture.com informing them of your desire to proceed with an exchange.

2. Await for an email reply to confirm the exchange and return details.

3. Post the shoes back, airmail and insured. Insurance is important to protect both parties in the event of loss or damage, which are occurrences beyond the control of the customer and That Couture. Please ensure all the relevant tags and packaging is included when returning your purchase.

4. When the item is received, customer service will send you an email confirming shoe return and the 15% fee to proceed with the exchange.

5. Pay the fee through PayPal.

6. An email will then be sent to you, asking you to select your new shoes through direct email with us.

7. Await the arrival of your new shoes.

15. What can I do if the colour I am after is not available from your selection?

We aim to personalise your shoe shopping experience and in the event that the desired colour is not currently supplied, we are happy to look at the possibility of sourcing it. However, this may take time and in some cases a close match may be the best we can do.

16. If I am making bridal shoes or shoes for members of the bridal party, can I have my shoes made from my own bridal fabric?

Yes, That Couture offers this unique bridal shoe service. Many brides have an idea of their dream shoe from brochures or magazines. We encourage you to send them in (scan and email) and we can look at making the design. If this is possible, you can post your fabric through and have your shoes made from your grown fabric or another fabric of your choice. This ensures a match to your dress for the big day. We encourage simple designs, as they are ideal for delicate bridal fabric and have the best outcome.

17. Why do we only accept Paypal?

PayPal has become a universally respected and highly trusted form of web transaction. It has the ability to process payments using multiple merchant tools (Visa, Mastercard, personal accounts) and arbitrate disputes and fraudulent behaviour. This protects the customer's and the merchant's interests and rights. Furthermore, it is secure, and efficient.
